Birthday at Lake Mohave

The day after my birthday, I went cliff diving at Lake Mohave. Lake Mohave is actually the Colorado River after the Hoover Dam. The water was super cold and rather low, but I did give cliff jumping the old college try.

Here is my cliff jumping crew. Linda P. and her daughters Linda Sue, Summer and Katrina. Dave and Shelley are to the far right. We had a blast!
And although I only jumped a few times. I became an expert floater and judger of the jumpers. Here I am waving to the cameras before judging began!

28th Birthday

Here I am in my birthday crown, thanks to Grandma Springer. I wear it every year on my birthday. I went to dinner with some friends and then on a lovely wine walk.

Boating on Lake Mead

Kristin (my roommate) has a family boat in Vegas, so we got to take it out onto Lake Mead in September. Here I am with an old roommate, Shelley. She was my partner in crime/water buddy. We docked at a cove and floated for awhile. In the background is Kristin's brother, Erich, on the jet ski.

And here is my water buddy, Shelley, again. We were taking a break from the heat in the middle of Lake Mead. So scary because of how deep it is!!! I think my face would agree to the fear of the water.

New Dog, Lilly

My roommate and I were at the dog park on evening and a couple sat down near us with this cute little dog (see above). They told us how they couldn't keep her anymore and that she needed a good home. Then they proceeded to get up one by one and leave. They just left her at the dog park! So with very little convincing, my roommate decided to keep her and call her Lilly. So now we have three dogs where I stay. She is absolutely great though!

Vacation at Casa Kohorst

Once we got to Las Vegas, we were fortunate enough to stay at my roommates parents vacation house. I dare say that neither my mom or grandma wanted to leave.

Road Trip back to Las Vegas

My mom and I headed out for my official move BACK to Sin City with Sasha in tow. It took my Dad a few hours to get my roof rack on my car, but once he did, we were off.

A highlight of the trip was my little "girl" became a women! That's right Sasha went into heat two days before our 3,000 mile journey. Here she is sportig a lovely pink diaper designed by Grandma Hoffman. Thanks Grandma!

And this is pretty much how Grandma and Sasha spent the trip. Sleeping in the back seat.
And here we are driving through Colorado. On the way back to Vegas, we took the middle route through Colorado. I do believe that this is one of the most beautiful drives in the US.
